This Privacy Policy describes how ZC Labs LLC, doing business as ZC Labs ("ZC Labs", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit zclabs.org or sign up for the ZC Labs Alerts text message program. By using this site or enrolling in ZC Labs Alerts you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

ZC Labs LLC is a United States company. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 284, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578, United States. You can reach us at support@zclabs.org.

2. Information we collect

Reading the site

zclabs.org uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and operational purposes. We do not use those logs to identify or profile readers.

ZC Labs Alerts text message sign-up

When you submit the sign-up form at zclabs.org/sms, we collect:

• Your mobile phone number.
• Your first name, if you choose to give it.
• A record of your consent: the date and time you submitted the form, the exact wording of the consent statement shown to you, whether the consent and age boxes were checked, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the page the form was submitted from.
• Your reply to our confirmation text (for example, "YES"), and any later replies such as STOP or HELP.

When you use the opt-out form at zclabs.org/sms/stop, we collect the mobile number you asked us to remove, together with the date, time, IP address and user agent of that request.

3. How we use information

• To send the messages you asked for. If you enrolled in ZC Labs Alerts and confirmed by replying YES, we use your number to send recurring automated marketing text messages: news, restock alerts, member offers and account updates from ZC Labs. Message frequency varies, up to 6 messages per month.
• To prove consent. We keep the consent record described above so that we can demonstrate, if asked by you, a carrier, or a regulator, that you agreed to receive messages and exactly what you agreed to.
• To honour opt-outs. We keep a record of every STOP reply and opt-out request so that we do not text a number that has asked us to stop.
• To respond to you. If you reply HELP or email us, we use your contact details to answer.
• To keep the site and program secure, including preventing abuse of the sign-up form.

We do not use your mobile number or SMS opt-in data for any purpose other than those listed above. We do not use it to build advertising profiles and we do not add it to any other marketing list without separate consent.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records and opt-in information are never sold, rented, traded or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We share information only with service providers who act on our instructions and only to the extent needed to run the program:

• The messaging platform and telecommunications carriers that transmit text messages on our behalf.
• Our web hosting and email providers, which store the site and our correspondence.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order, to protect our legal rights, or to investigate fraud or abuse. If ZC Labs LLC is ever sold or merged, consent records would transfer with the program, and the new operator would remain bound by the consent you gave.

5. How long we keep information

• Consent and opt-out records (number, timestamp, consent wording, IP address, user agent) are kept for at least five years from the date of your last interaction, including after you opt out, because we are required to be able to evidence consent and to keep honouring your opt-out.
• Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period and then deleted.

6. Your choices and rights

• Stop text messages at any time. Reply STOP to any message from ZC Labs. You will receive one final confirmation text and nothing further. You can also use the web opt-out form or email support@zclabs.org. Opt-out requests are honoured within 10 business days and normally far sooner.
• Get help. Reply HELP to any message or email us.
• Access, correct or delete. Email us to ask what information we hold about your number, to correct it, or to delete it. We will delete everything except the minimum record needed to keep honouring your opt-out and to evidence past consent, as described in section 5. We respond within 45 days.
• No discrimination. We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these choices. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Residents of US states with consumer privacy laws (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and Oregon) may exercise the rights above by emailing support@zclabs.org. We do not sell personal information and we do not engage in targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.

7. Security

Consent records are stored in a location that is not accessible from the web, on servers in the United States, with access limited to ZC Labs personnel who need it to operate the program. Our site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Children

ZC Labs Alerts is intended for adults. You must be 21 or older to enrol. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with a mobile number, email support@zclabs.org and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date. Material changes to how we use SMS opt-in data will be notified to subscribers by text message before they take effect.
